Out of the Blocks Retrospective

Out of the Blocks producers Aaron Henkin and Wendel Patrick have spent the past year chronicling life in Baltimore, one city block at a time.  Along the way, they’ve developed a new documentary genre, a spellbinding hybrid of radio journalism and impressionist sound art.  Henkin and Patrick will talk about the evolution of their ongoing project, they’ll share stories from their experiences interviewing and photographing people around the city, and they’ll welcome guests from their travels to join them onstage for a conversation about the possible meaning of the whole, extraordinary experience.
