Storytelling & Dialogue on Indigenous Erasure (and Presence).   

We'll gather in the Forum sculpture area outside of PAHB on Wed April 17th, from 2:30-4:30pm

Please join us for a storytelling session and dialogue on experiences of Indigenous erasure from individuals of varying tribal identities.  

Storytelling Panelists:

Ashley Minner Jones (Artist, Folklorist, enrolled Citizen of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina)

Rico Newman (Tribal elder, Choptico Band of Indians)

Autumn Powell (UMBC graduate student 

Diné citizen or Citizen of the Navajo Nation)

Drew Shuptar (Tribal citizen, Pocomoke Indian Nation)

Joby Taylor (The Shriver Center at UMBC, enrolled citizen of Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma)

Yolanda Valencia (Asst Professor GES/UMBC, Indigenous descendant from the Purépecha lands currently known as Michoacán, Mexico)
