Constitution Day and Internship Information Session with the UMBC Institue of Politics

 1. Constitution Day lecture/discussion with Maryland State Senator William C. Smith, Jr. 

Lunch and snacks will be provided!

Senator Smith will share insights from his leadership on key legislative issues shaping civil rights, criminal justice reform, and constitutional protections in Maryland. His work offers an important window into how state-level policymaking both reflects and shapes the principles of the U.S. Constitution in action.

2.  Annapolis Internship Information Session with Maryland State Senator Charles E. Sydnor, III

Free dinner and snacks will be provided!

Maryland State Senator Charles Sydnor and Yaakov (Jake) Weissmann '06, UMBC's Vice President for Government Relations and Community Affairs, will be on hand to answer questions. You do not have to be a political science major to benefit from an internship in Annapolis.  Join us to learn more!
